Content Ideas for Every Relevant Social Media Platform

When you’re constantly creating quality content, it can sometimes be difficult to brainstorm unique post concepts. We’ve got ideas to keep your creative juices flowing on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Facebook

With Facebook’s new algorithm update, it is harder to reach your audience via your business page now than ever before. To combat that, the content you share must be interesting and engaging.

  1. Post links to your blog posts or YouTube videos if you have them
  2. Post about any great sales or deals your followers might enjoy
  3. Share relevant blog posts or articles that interest you
  4. Write about your opinions on trending topics
  5. Post relevant seasonal content
  6. Do a Facebook Live stream
  7. Host a Q&A and answer your followers’ questions
  8. Repost a favorite video
  9. Share exclusive photo sets (the photos that didn’t make it to Instagram, perhaps?)
  10. Cross-promote your content from other social platforms

Twitter

Twitter is a text-based platform, so you’ll focus on writing tweets about topics that interest you and engaging with other likeminded users. Thank goodness for the new 280-character limit!

  1. Post your favourite inspirational quotes
  2. Make polls for your followers to answer
  3. Ask questions so your followers can freely respond
  4. Tweet funny or interesting stories as they happen to you
  5. Post funny memes, jokes, or puns
  6. Make tweets using the trending hashtags (you can find them on the left sidebar on the Twitter homepage when you’re logged in)
  7. Join a Twitter chat and engage with other people
  8. Host a Q&A and answer your followers’ questions
  9. Share blog posts or articles that interest you
  10. Retweet other people’s content

The other day I was trying to figure out why I started smoking before but I realized what’s important is why I stopped. I quit because there was more to my time and money. I want to live my best life, which includes being present and providing for others. I want to be able to smile and take pictures as much as I can because a smile and a photo can go a long way. Whether it’s a relative, a friend or even a stranger, know that our individual presence can make an impact in this world. Some days may feel more mundane and insignificant than others but overtime they all build up into something greater. If you or are loved one are looking to make an impact in your everyday, click the link in my profile for support in quitting smoking. When you invest in yourself, know that you are also investing into so much more. #FamilyOverFumes #sponsored (📷: @jesspullin) . . . . #ajfwriting #captionsbywriters #honestcaptions #postthepeople #liveauthentic #momentslikethese #finditliveit #postmoreportraits #afriendbygram #socality #littlestoriesofmylife #healthyliving #torontolife #torontoigers #torontoblogger

Instagram

Instagram is a much more visual platform than Facebook or Twitter, so it’s important to create aesthetically pleasing and high resolution content.

  1. Show off your #OutfitOfTheDay
  2. Snap a picture of what you’ve eaten today
  3. Grab a cute coffee or dessert (don’t forget to pair with a cool watch or some jewelry)
  4. Snap a scenic photo wherever you’re located
  5. Take a Boomerang of something interesting
  6. Shoot a styled flatlay
  7. Share your desk/work set up
  8. Take a selfie
  9. Post a throwback photo using the #TBT or #FBF hashtags
  10. Share a travel photo from your last vacation

If you get stuck brainstorming what to post next on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, this list has got some ideas for you!

Tip: create exclusive content for each platform instead of sharing the same image or post across all of them. Even slight variations will keep things interesting and entice people to follow you on all of your platforms versus one.
